Laureate/Walden University Orientation

Walden University, a member of Laureate’s network of higher education institutions, needed a cost-efficient way for their animated orientation hosts to reflect the diversity of their students. ADi worked with them to design characters whose animation could be swapped, puppet-style, from one body to another, thereby increasing the options of available hosts without creating multiple unique characters.

Intel Retail Edge Program Rock Legend Promotional Animation

The Intel Retail Edge Program asked ADi to create a promotional and inspirational animation for a new rewards level in their training program exclusive to “Rock Legends”. The program members are primarily young males, 18-24 who work in stores such as Best Buy and Office Depot. Those program members who qualify for Rock Legend status also get a desktop widget (created by ADi) to track their progress in reaching all the qualifications.

McDonald’s “Futures” Exhibit Animation

ADi was selected by McDonald’s to help create a very large format visual representation of McDonald’s history and vision of the future which was presented to more than 12,000 of its executives, suppliers, and franchise owners from around the world at its recent Worldwide Owner/Operator Convention held in Orlando, Florida.

Attendees walked through an entrance hallway featuring a screen 3 feet high by 24 feet long with a digital display playing an animation to set the scene for the showcase they were about to visit. ADi created this look by designing the animation to run seamlessly on a media player that divided the visual across a bank of five screens that appeared to be one long display.

Rogue River Wind

Green energy startup Rogue River Wind LLC had run into difficulties when trying to show how their new innovative wind energy turbine works. Because they had not produced an actual turbine, they needed a 3D model based on their engineer’s designs. ADi used some engineering files, as well as drawings and descriptions from the client to create a realistic and functioning model.

VTECH AT&T Synapse Phone Testimonial

ADi functioned as beta testers for a new small business phone system by VTECH manufactured for AT&T. Instead of doing a typical “talking head” testimonial, ADi used animation to create an engaging digital story, combining live action video, 2D and 3D animation to demonstrate the benefits of the new Synapse phone system.

We like to have a little fun at the end of each year and we opt to explore techniques that we may not have had the chance to do a lot of over the previous 12 months. In 2006 we started seriously exploring interactivity using Flash and the result was this game.

Cabot Creamery: Sustainability 101

Cabot Creamery is a leader in sustainable farming practices in the dairy industry. They wanted a fun, educational animation that illustrated their story in a visual way. ADi created a 3D environment including a dairy farm, creamery and retail store as well as a library of re-usable 3D assets that are available for future projects.
