The animation was incorporated in to a larger presentation, and functioned as bookends for content and interstitials. The chrysalis and butterfly were created by studying reference materials of real butterflies to accurately imitate their behavior and flight. The strategy behind this animation was two fold – one: to introduce the visual metaphor of the chrysalis and butterfly, and two: to introduce the concept of using animation to communicate internally and externally at Cambia Health.

<img

The audience for this system is architects and interior designers. The system’s unique shape presented an interesting canvas for the design of animations that would be at the juncture of corporate art, digital signage and video walls. The animation reflects a unique juxtaposition of natural and man-made materials, a realistic retail coffee house scene with an elaborate coffee bean particle simulation, classical art with a twist and a quirky robot transition effect.

WiGIG Wireless Gigabit Alliance

3D

Consumer

Events

High-tech
<guid

When Oregon Lottery came knocking looking for inventive ways to bank new, tech-savvy clientele, a lot of other agencies would have folded—which in a sense, is exactly what Pop Art did with their Dollar Dreamer App. The message, “Dream Big,” along with the concept, a dollar origami interactive app that transforms a single bill into the prize of your dreams, resonated with ADi’s creative team. We built technically precise 3D renderings and a plethora of intermittent fold states of the dream items—a ship, a magic lamp, even a dolphin (!)—that Pop Art integrated into a fun app for iPhone and Android platforms. The outcome? It’s the stuff that dreams are made of.

WatchGuard: Branded Attract Loop Animation

2D

3D

Events

High-tech
<guid

In order to take advantage of the new design and color palette, ADi created an animation to play as a loop in their lobby and at trade shows. The challenge was to keep the animation general enough that it would not become obsolete in a short time but also keep it visually exciting. ADi created six concepts for how this could be done. Those concepts were narrowed to two and further refined. The final animation highlights the key vertical markets for WatchGuard and some high level benefit messages. The animation also illustrates the global presence of WatchGuard by modeling well-known landmarks from across the world, and flying from scene to scene.

Regence Membership Training

2D

Flash

Interactive

Training
<guid

Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield wanted to train customer facing employees on best practices when interacting with customers over the phone to provide the optimum level of service. ADi created animation based on real recorded phone conversations, but added the visuals to help increase awareness and empathy. The animations are used in instructor-led classes and online as a refresher. The final project is interactive and delivered in Flash.

Wilocity: Truly Wireless Computing

2D

3D

Consumer

High-tech
<guid

They wanted an animation that explained their new technology to prospective manufacturers of computers and consumer electronics products. ADi helped solidify their key messages and how to visually depict the key attributes of Wilocity. The animation also visually illustrates the benefits of Wilocity for PC OEMs and Consumer Electronics product developers. They also use the animation on their website post-CES. Wilocity won a CES Innovation Award in 2011.

MoneyGram – World of Money

2D

3D

Consumer

Flash

Interactive
<guid

This year’s theme was Picture This, and they had a lot of existing photo and video assets, but needed them woven into a compelling story. ADi envisioned a graphical/rotoscoping visual style that would form the basis for the story they wanted to tell, and designed, wrote, and realized the piece in collaboration with the client. They really liked the piece, and said that the audience response was overwhelmingly positive.<img
