    Robot love

    Recommended: Wacom Cintiq monitor

    In case you haven’t heard about this amazing tool, here goes: http://www.wacom.com/cintiq/index.php This is what I use at work. It cuts my production time at least in half: for one, I can draw directly on screen and into the computer, as if drawing on a piece of paper. You can adjust the position/angle of the monitor to maintain a comfortable drawing position.     Issues with interlaced footage…

    Our recent project for Yamasa Soy Sauce proved to be a great lesson learned when dealing with interlaced footage. In short, it is not well-advised to scale interlaced footage; unless you are going for that blurry low-quality look. As for the epic version of the story: the plan was to composite live footage (that had been shot on blue screen and keyed) within a 3D environment.
